CanNet Bring your own device for FTTN/DSL internet

We at CanNet have listened to your complaints and suggestions why certain modems were not compatible with our services. Why we think this is an important aspect of any industry, it is especially important for customers who already purchased modems before from their previous internet plans or internet service providers.

By offering this BYOD option, customers can give second life to their devices and do not have to waste any more money on extra internet devices. Of course the device has to be compatible with the services we offer and it needs to be supported by our backbone network.

In this case our backbone network is Bell and we have compiled a list of modems that we know are supported for sure. If you have any other devices you think might work, you can always give us a call and we can verify if your device is supported on our plans with the Bell network.

Supported Devices

For our 50M unlimited FTTN plan we have compiled a small list for the customer who wishes to use their own devices. The following devices are supported:

•    SmartRG SR505N
•    Bell Home Hub 2000
•    TP-Link TD-W9970
•    Current Technicolor TG588V

Simple setup  guide FTTN/DSL Modem

2.    Plug your modem into a power source using the power adaptor provided
3.    The DSL light on modem will blink for few minutes. Once it stays solid (Green) you are ready to use internet services.
4.    If you are using your own modem, you need to configure CanNet PPPOE username & password in it
